Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia Fulgida)

$12.00

Rudbeckia Fulgida
A garden favorite. Bold yellow flowers with brown cones. 1 – 3 feet tall. A favorite of goldfinches and many other songbirds. Spreads easily. Thrives in moist soil and full sun but is really quite hardy. Drought Tolerant once established.

Rudbeckia Fulgida contains the same medicinal compounds as Echinacea Angustifolia, the herb commonly used to prevent colds and flu. In fact, in many cases, this species is more appropriate for medicine making, as the Echinacea in most gardens is actually Echinacea Purpurea, which is less potent than Rudbeckia Fulgida. Be advised that only the flowers petals, leaves and roots are used. The seeds are toxic.
